A very shocking incident has come to light from a coaching centre in Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi, which is considered a coaching hub for students preparing for civil services. The basement of the centre got flooded, due to which three students lost their lives. Two people have been detained in this case and they are being questioned. The incident took place at Rao IAS Coaching Centre. The Delhi government has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident.

The Delhi Fire Department received information about waterlogging in the basement of a coaching centre at 7 pm on Saturday. The department was called that the basement of the coaching centre was flooded and many students were trapped. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the NDRF team started the rescue operation. The situation became such that divers had to get into the water.

How in the basement of a coaching center filled with water
A library has been built. Due to which students used to study there. It is being told that due to rain and drainage problem, the basement of the coaching center suddenly got flooded. According to the information, there were 5 to 6 students inside the basement who were preparing for IAS. Currently, the NDRF team, Delhi Police personnel, MLA Durgesh Pathak, Delhi Mayor and MP from New Delhi Bansuri Swaraj are present at the spot. After the rescue operation, the bodies of three students were found. The dead include 2 girl students and one boy student.

One of the students who lost their lives in the accident, Navin Dalvin, was a resident of Kerala. But he was living in Delhi for the last six-eight months. Navin Patel lived in the town and used to go to the coaching centre's library to study. He was doing PhD from JNU.

DCP (Central Delhi) M. Harshvardhan told the news agency that there was heavy rain in Delhi on Saturday evening, due to which the roads were flooded. Now the matter is being investigated as to how the basement got filled with water so quickly.

At the same time, BJP MP from Delhi Bansuri Swaraj claims that the basement got flooded due to the drains not being cleaned properly. Bansuri Swaraj claimed that for several weeks, the people here were repeatedly asking MLA Durgesh Pathak to clean the drain. But their words were ignored. She said that the water here filled up the basement.

BJP leader RP Singh said that the desilting work here was not done on time. If the desilting work had been done on time, this accident would not have happened. He said that the Delhi government and the assembly should answer why the desilting work was not done and where did the money go?

NDRF rescue teams
Rescue operations are going on continuously. There is so much water in the basement that NDRF teams are having a tough time. Continuous efforts are being made to drain out the water as soon as possible.

What did the Delhi government say?
On the other hand, the Delhi government has also become active in this matter. Delhi government minister Atishi said that there is news of tragedy due to heavy rain in Delhi in the evening. There is news of water filling in the basement of a coaching institute in Rajendra Nagar. Delhi Fire Department and NDRF are on the spot. Delhi Mayor and local MLA are also there. Orders have been given for magisterial investigation into how the incident happened. Whoever is responsible for this incident will not be spared.
