Ranchi, July 27 (HS). Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha held a meeting of the selection committee for the selection of beneficiaries for distribution and installation of solar pump sets under the PM Kusum scheme in the office room on Saturday. The Deputy Commissioner approved 2131 (applications received online) for solar water pump sets in the district under the PM Kusum scheme through the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, New Delhi and Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency.
For distribution of solar pump sets, only such beneficiaries are to be selected whose farms do not have grid connectivity facility. In selection of farmers, priority is given to small and marginal farmers who are economically weak, farmers associated with micro and drip irrigation and women farmers. Under this scheme also, as before, the amount of beneficiary contribution has been fixed at five thousand for 2 HP, seven thousand for three HB and ten thousand rupees for five HB. Remaining amount is to be borne in the form of grant by the state government i.e. 72 percent of the plan amount and through the central government 30 percent of the benchmark amount which is 25 percent of the plan amount.
