Ramgarh, July 27 (HS). A campaign titled 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' was launched in the city's Shri Guru Nanak Public School on Saturday. Students from all classes of the school participated in this campaign. On this occasion, welcome song, poetry recitation and speeches were given on how to keep the environment green, how to make nature pollution free and how to keep it safe.
Under this program, 2500 saplings will be distributed among the children. This program will run for a week and every student of the school will be given a sapling. Today 150 saplings were also distributed. The coming week will be celebrated as tree plantation week in coordination with the stakeholders of the school. The children of SGNPS will plant saplings along with their beloved mother and will take selfies with them and post them on social media and will also keep it safe.
During this week, children will demonstrate their unwavering dedication towards biodiversity. School teachers will join hands with children and their parents to make a commitment to plant as many trees as possible. During this programme, school children will be made aware of the importance of tree plantation and its positive impact on our environment. SGNPS children will monitor the planted trees along with the school staff.
On this occasion school manager and members of school management committee Sardar Harpal Singh Arora, Sardar Parminder Singh Jassal, Sardar Kuljit Singh Kalra, Sardar Manmohan Singh Lamba, Sardar Paramjit Singh Chaman, Sardar Hardeep Singh, Sardar Pushpinder Singh Chhabra, Sardar Kuljit Singh Chhabra, Sardar Inderpal Singh Saini, Sardar Vivek Vikramjit Singh Kohli and media incharge Sardar Karamjit Singh Jagi were also present on the occasion.
