Ranchi, 27 July (HS). Former JMM MLA Lobin Hembram has opened a front against the termination of his membership of the Vidhan Sabha. He said that democracy has been murdered in Jharkhand. His membership has been deliberately terminated by the party people through the speaker. I am not going to be distracted by this. He said that there has been infiltration in Santhal Pargana. The state government is encouraging infiltrators for vote bank.
Hembram was speaking at a press conference on Saturday. He said that his membership has been terminated a few hours before the monsoon session of the Jharkhand Assembly begins. In such a situation, who will answer the questions of public interest raised by him? He also said that the order of Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindranath Mahato has been challenged in the High Court. He is confident that he will get a chance to raise questions in the current House.
Accusing the state government, he said that Jharkhand has become a labour supply state. Tribals are migrating for employment. People have lost faith in the government. Regarding contesting the elections, he said that he will tell when the time comes. In response to a question, Lobin Hembram said that he will definitely contest the elections. I will reveal when the time comes from which party he will contest the elections.
It is noteworthy that on July 25, JMM MLA from Borio Lobin Hembram and BJP MLA from Mandu JP Patel were found guilty of defection under the 10th Schedule of the Constitution. Both the MLAs were found guilty of activities against the party line. In view of this, Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindranath Mahato, while giving the verdict, cancelled the membership of both the MLAs.
