Ranchi, 27 July (HS). The 86th Foundation Day of CRPF and the 13th Foundation Day of Group Centre Ranchi were celebrated at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Group Centre Sembo Campus. During this, IG Saket Kumar Singh of Jharkhand Sector was present as the chief guest. Singh paid tribute by offering a flower garland at the martyr's memorial site located in the campus of Group Centre Ranchi.
On the occasion, the IG said that in the golden history of 86 years of the Central Reserve Police Force, this force has made India proud many times with its bravery, diligence, dedication, loyalty and service to the country. Be it the Hotspring incident during the India-China standoff in 1959 or the heroic saga of Sardar Post during the Indo-Pak war in 1965. Be it the incident of foiling the attack on Parliament House or the retaliation to the attack on Ram Janmabhoomi. Be it the field of riot control or fighting terrorism, Naxalism. The working style and efficiency of this force is commendable on every front of the country's internal security.
The IG said that the force is playing an important and decisive role in the state as well. After the deployment of the Central Reserve Police Force, Naxal incidents in Jharkhand have reduced significantly in the last few years. In the last one year, many important and risky operations were conducted in the state, in which eight dreaded Naxalites were killed. Along with this, 59 weapons, 241 IEDs, 1519 kg of explosives, 9692 detonators were recovered and 38 Naxalite camps were destroyed by entering their den. Along with this, 21 Maoists were forced to surrender and 53 Naxalites were arrested. During this, three brave soldiers were martyred. Also, 9 officers and soldiers were seriously injured.
The IG said that I expect from all the officers and soldiers that they will take inspiration from these brave officers and soldiers and will increase the pride of the force with their excellent work in the coming times. He finally said that Group Centre, Ranchi is a newly built Group Centre and this campus is undergoing continuous construction after its establishment. I am confident that soon the family accommodation and basic facilities will become fully functional in this camp. If all the personnel here start living in the camp premises, then its beauty will be enhanced further. The process of land acquisition for its expansion is also in progress and it will be completed soon.
A cultural program was organized on the foundation day. The personnel of Group Centre Ranchi displayed their charm in the cultural function by performing folk dance, singing and dramatic arts. Along with this, volleyball match and tug of war match were also organized among the soldiers, in which the winners were honored with prizes. At the end of the program, a raffle draw was organized, in which prizes were given to the winners.
