Uttarakhand Rudraprayag District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said that due to heavy rains on the Kedarnath Yatra route last night, the road has been damaged due to the strong flow of the Son River near the shuttle service bridge near Sonprayag. Due to this, the Yatra route has been closed for vehicular movement. He also said that for the safety of pilgrims on the way to Kedarnath Yatra, the district administration, NH, police, SDRF personnel have been deployed at sensitive places and landslide prone places.

Truck stuck on Kedarnath Highway

The important thing is that during the rain on Friday morning, a truck got stuck due to the road breaking near Devidhar bridge on Kedarnath Highway. Some part of the truck came down from the road. Meanwhile, the truck was saved from falling into the ditch. The road was built by removing the truck with the help of a hydro machine. Due to the incident, traffic on the road remained halted for two hours.
