Mandsaur, 26 July (HS). Due to the indifference of monsoon and lack of rain in this rainy season, everyone in the city was feeling restless. Three days ago, in a meeting of the city residents, the organization of complete city bandh, Maha Ujjaini and Sarvadharma prayer rally was discussed. And on Friday, Maha Ujjaini was organized in a historic way in the city to please Indradev. The entire city remained closed and Sarvadharma prayer rally was taken out.
Heads of all religions gathered at the Vishvapati Shivalaya Temple located at Gandhi Square and after worshipping the Lord and Maha Aarti, the Sarvadharma Prayer Rally was started. At the time of the inaugural worship at the Vishvapati Shivalaya Temple, revered saints of Rishikesh who have come to Keshav Satsang Bhavan for quarterly discourse, Pujya Swami Atma Swaroopanand Ji Maharaj, Bhagwatcharya Pandit Mithilesh Nagar, Pandit Dashrath Bhai Sharma, Pandit Vishnu Sharma, Father of St. Thomas School, MLA Vipin Jain, Municipal Chairman Ramadevi Gurjar, former MLA Yashpal Singh Sisodiya, etc were present.
From here, the caravan of the Sarvadharma prayer rally moved forward after offering coconuts and visiting Shri Talai Wale Balaji Temple and Shri Khade Balaji Temple. A large number of citizens of the city participated in the prayer rally with devotion. Ahead was the chariot of the Jyot Bahrana Saheb of Lord Jhulelal Ji, the god of water, carried by the Sindhi community. Everyone had darshan of the Jyot. From here, the prayer rally passed through Shri Bade Balaji Temple located at Nehru Bus Stand and all the religious places on the route of the prayer rally, Shri Bhairavnath Temple located at Kalidas Marg, Varun Dev Temple at Shukla Chowk, Nahar Singh Mata Ji's Temple, New Jain Temple, Sheetla Mata Temple, Narsingh Temple, Shri Dwimukhi Chinta Haran Ganpati Temple, Shri Charbhuja Nath Temple of Maheshwari community, Bhairavnath Temple located at Dhan Mandi, and Shiv Temple, Gurudwara of Sikh community and concluded at Pashupatinath Temple. The dignitaries participating in the prayer rally visited all these religious places, offered coconuts and prayed that the city and the region receive abundant rainfall during the monsoon season. Expressions of gratitude were also expressed towards Lord Indra for the heavy rainfall that occurred in the city a day before on 25th July.
All the devotees participating in the prayer rally at Pashupatinath Temple premises collectively prayed to Lord Pashupatinath in the sanctum sanctorum by chanting Om Namah Shivaya for good rains.
