Dehradun, July 25 (HS). Brahmin Samaj Mahasangh Uttarakhand celebrated its fifth foundation day as World Peace Unity Day at Panchayati Mandir situated at Darshanlal Chowk. Learned Brahmins performed Havan Yagya as per rituals and prayed for world peace, unity and harmony.
Patrons of the Mahasangh, Pt. Subhash Chand Joshi and Pt. Lalchand Sharma said that Brahmins wish for the welfare of the entire world. Their life is always dedicated to the welfare of all living beings. Brahmin is not a caste, but a philosophy. Brahmins have always given a new direction to the society. Pt. Ram Prasad Gautam, Ramprasad Upadhyay, Pt. Thaneshwar Upadhyay, President of the Mahasangh Pramod Mehta, General Secretary Shashi Sharma, former spokesperson Dr. VD Sharma etc. also expressed their views. Neem and Amla plants were also planted in the temple premises. During this, Organization Minister of the Mahasangh Manmohan Sharma, Treasurer Rajesh Sharma, Pt. Shashikant Dubey, Roop Chand Sharma, Mahesh Kothari, Purushottam Gautam, Avnish Sharma, Shaligram Paudel etc. were present.
