Palamu, July 25 (HS). Sensation spread on Thursday when the bodies of a man and a woman were found in Dhavtar village of Babhandi Panchayat of Pipra police station area of the district. While the woman's face was attacked with a sharp weapon, the body of the young man was found near Ahara, some distance east of the house. After receiving the information, Pipra police station reached the spot and took both the dead bodies into custody. They were sent to Hussainabad subdivisional hospital for postmortem.
The deceased man and woman were husband and wife. They have been identified as Upendra Ram (36) and Savita Devi (32). There were frequent arguments between the two. There was a fight between them on Wednesday night as well. After this, on Thursday morning, the dead bodies of both were found in different directions outside the house.
It is being said that Upendra killed his wife by attacking her face with a sharp weapon and after that, he consumed poison and was found in a serious condition near Ahara, some distance to the east of his house. On Thursday morning, people who went out for morning walk heard the sound of groaning. When they went closer, Upendra was lying in a serious condition. He was picked up and brought near the village temple, where he died. Upendra's younger son Rituraj (11) said that there was an argument between the mother and father on Wednesday night. At night, he ate dinner and went to sleep.
Here, it is possible that Savita Devi must have come out of the house late at night. In this sequence, Upendra killed her with a sharp weapon. Her body was found thrown in a pit-like pit to the south of the house.
Pipra's police station in-charge Bimal Kumar said that information has been received from the villagers about frequent quarrels between the husband and wife. The wife has been murdered, while the husband ate some poisonous substance, which led to his death. The post-mortem report will make it clear how Upendra died. The sharp weapon with which the woman was murdered could not be recovered. The police station in-charge said that the deceased has two sons. The elder son Hansraj, fed up with the quarrels between his parents, used to study at his aunt's house in Pipra. The entire case is being investigated.
