The Indian stock market witnessed a fall and recovery again today i.e. Thursday, July 25. The Sensex recovered 562 points from the day's low and closed at 80,039, down 109 points. Nifty also saw a recovery of 196 points. Nifty closed at 24,406, down seven points.
Out of the 30 Sensex stocks, 16 fell and 14 rose. Out of the 50 Nifty stocks, 25 fell and 25 rose. This week, the market closed with a decline in four trading sessions.

Earlier, yesterday i.e. on 24th July, the stock market witnessed a decline. Sensex closed down 280 points at 80,148. On the other hand, Nifty closed down 65 points at 24,413. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 20 declined and 10 rose. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 30 declined and 20 rose.
Sectoral Updates
In today's trade, stocks of auto, pharma, energy, media, health care and oil and gas sector closed with gains, while stocks of banking, consumer durables, metal, IT closed with losses. Midcap and smallcap stocks remained weak in today's trade. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 13 stocks closed with gains, while 17 stocks closed with losses.
