America issued advisory for its citizens, advising them not to visit these states of India

The US State Department said that it has updated it with information about the northeastern states. The advisory states that 'extra caution should be taken due to crime, terrorism and Naxalism. It has also been said that the threat has increased significantly in some areas. Overall India has been placed at level 2, but many parts of the country have been placed at level 4, including Jammu and Kashmir, India-Pakistan border and parts of central-eastern India.

US revises travel advisory
