FIIs have sold Rs 63,400 crore since the last interim budget

Ahmedabad: Foreign institutional investors have pulled out a huge amount of funds in the last six months. Since the last interim budget presented by Nirmala Sitharaman, foreign institutional investors have invested Rs. 63,400 crore in the equity cash segment and have become net sellers.

Foreign institutional investors have withdrawn over Rs 74,240 crore from the cash segment of equities from February 2023 to July 22, 2024. During this time frame, foreign institutional investors invested Rs last May. Became the highest net sellers by selling securities worth Rs 42,214 crore. Meanwhile, domestic institutional investors raised Rs in May 2024. 55,733 crore was bought.

Similarly, in April 2024, foreign institutional investors worth Rs. 35,692 crore were net sellers, while at the same time, domestic institutional investors worth Rs. 44,186 crore were net buyers.

Flows from domestic institutional investors tell a different story, with an inflow of Rs. 2 lakh crore. In addition, they have bought over Rs. 3.84 lakh crore between February 2023 and July 22, 2024.
