Water crisis averted

Mumbai: Due to heavy rains in Palghar district, 9 dams have been filled to the brim in the last ten days, reducing people's water concerns.

In June, water crisis arose due to drought. But due to rain in July, 9 dams have overflowed. Not only this, the level of Vaitarna and Pinjal rivers and Surya river has also started rising.

Ramayana Last year, heavy rains in Vikramgad and Jawhar of Palghar district caused floods and more than 50 villages were cut off from the rest of the country. Harje, Tambdi, Pinjal rivers were in spate and people living on the river banks were shifted to safer places.
