After being net sellers in the first six months, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers in July. However, the two sessions after the budget saw net selling by FIIs.
While domestic institutional investors (DIIs) remained net buyers in July, buying has slowed down. The month of July saw net buying of Rs 17,002.48 crore by FIIs till the 24th. DIIs have bought an average of Rs 34,303.47 crore during the last seven months till July 24. But this ratio decreased in the month of July. DIIs made the highest net purchase of Rs 56,311.60 crore in the month of March. In contrast, buying of Rs 3,137.30 crore was seen till July 24, 2024.
