Rain alert in seven districts of Rajasthan today

Jaipur, 25 July (HS). After the monsoon became active in Rajasthan, the spell of rain continues. On Wednesday, some areas of Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer division and Shekhawati region received heavy rain and at some places very heavy rain. Some parts of Kota, Udaipur and Bikaner division also received rain. In the last 24 hours, heavy rain occurred in Jaipur, Alwar and Baran districts. At the same time, very heavy rain occurred in Karauli, Dholpur and Alwar districts. Rain alert has been issued in seven districts of Rajasthan today.

The Meteorological Center, Jaipur has issued an alert of heavy rain in Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Dausa, Alwar, Karauli and Dholpur in the state. While, except Churu, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer and Barmer, rest of the districts will receive light rain. Rain has been continuing since morning in many areas of Sawai Madhopur. Due to the heavy rain on Wednesday, an electricity wire broke and fell on a house in Ramganj Mandi, Kota. Mother and daughter died due to electric current in the house. On Wednesday itself, Churu, Alwar, Dausa, Karauli and Sawai Madhopur districts received up to five inches of rain.

In the last 24 hours, Karauli received the highest rainfall of 127 mm (more than 5 inches). Mahavirji in Karauli also received heavy rain yesterday afternoon and 102 mm of water fell here. 88 mm rain was recorded in Wazirpur in Sawai Madhopur, 42 in Malarna Dungar, 34 in Bassi in Jaipur, 44 in Didwana in Nagaur, 34 in Nagar in Bharatpur, 115 in Baswa in Dausa, 85 in Dausa city, 71 in Sardarshahar in Churu, 88 in Laxmangarh in Alwar, 46 in Bahadurpur and 45 mm in Chhatargarh of Bikaner.

Due to heavy rains in many parts of Rajasthan, the maximum temperature of the day fell by five degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, the monsoon has weakened and turned into a circulation system. Currently it is over Jharkhand. The monsoon trough line is passing through Bikaner, Sikar. According to the Meteorological Center, rain activities will continue in many parts of eastern Rajasthan and some parts of Bikaner division of western Rajasthan for the next four-five days.
