Shambhu Border: Shambhu border of Punjab and Haryana will not open yet. Due to the farmers' agitation, the Haryana government has barricaded the Shambhu border for 5 months. Therefore, the farmers who left Punjab to go to Delhi have been camping here since February 13. On July 10, the Punjab and Haryana High Court had ordered to open the Shambhu border within a week. The Haryana government had challenged the High Court's order in the Supreme Court.

Today, a bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice Ujal Bhuiyan heard the matter in the Supreme Court. The court said on Wednesday (July 24), 'The status quo should be maintained at Shambhu border.' The Supreme Court said that they propose the formation of an independent committee.

The Supreme Court said that celebrities should be included in this committee. Contact the farmers and the governments and find a meaningful solution to their demands that is acceptable to everyone. The Supreme Court has asked the Punjab and Haryana governments to suggest the names of members for the Suntar Committee within a week.

In fact, on July 10, the Punjab and Haryana High Court had asked the Haryana government to remove the barricades from the border within a week so that people do not face problems in movement. The High Court gave this order while hearing the petition of lawyer Vasu Ranjan Shandilya.
