BJP leader Bajrangi met Chief Minister Dhami, got assurance of opening a college in Pipalkot of Moonakot itself

Dehradun, July 24 (HS). Senior BJP leader of Didihat assembly of Pithoragarh district, Hemraj Bisht 'Bajrangi' met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday and submitted a memorandum. He demanded from the Chief Minister to open the government college approved in Moonakot block in Moonakot Pipalkot itself. An indefinite hunger strike is also going on regarding this. In the meeting, Chief Minister Dhami assured to open the college in Pipalkot of Moonakot itself.

Senior BJP leader Hemraj Bisht 'Bajrangi' told the Chief Minister that opening of a Government College in Gram Panchayat Moonakot is essential in the interest of the region. There are 15 Government Inter Colleges within a distance of about one to 25 kilometres from the periphery of the Government College. If a college is established in the nearby area, the students of the 15 Government Inter Colleges will be able to get the full benefit of higher education. This will prove to be beneficial for their future.

When the college is established in Moonakot, it will cover two assembly constituencies Didihat and Pithoragarh. Along with about 60 gram panchayats, students from Nepal on the border will also be benefited. Revenue department and education department officials have selected land for the college, which is in village panchayat Moonakot. The BJP leader demanded to establish the college in Pipalkot of village panchayat Moonakot in view of the availability of classrooms and building for running the government college.
