Jodhpur, July 24 (HS). An acquaintance of a person running a provision store in Khandafalsa area of the inner city duped him of Rs. 1 crore 8 lakh by luring him to invest money in game redemption and double the money. This money was taken between 16 January 22 and 26 February 24. When it came to asking for the profit, he first gave evasive answers and now is threatening to kill him. The victim has registered a case of fraud against ten people including the main accused in Khandafalsa police station.
Khandafalsa police said that the report has been given by Ravibhati son of Shyam Lal Bhati, resident of Shivlal Ki Haveli Khandafalsa. It said that he runs his provision store at the said place. One of his acquaintances Amil son of Khalid, resident of Siwanchi Gate, used to visit the shop. He used to sit at the shop for hours for quite some time. On 16 January 22, he got him recharged for Rs 60 for the first time in Game Redemption and lured him with the promise of doubling the money. After that, as per his instructions in Game Redemption, the complainant put one crore eight lakh rupees in different accounts from 16 January 22 to 26 February 24. This money was brought by him by mortgaging his own, borrowed and his jewellery. Along with Amil, seven other acquaintances of his including Harsh Arora, Anwar, proprietor of Harish Communication, proprietor of Digital Planet Jalori Gate, proprietor of Yash Enterprises Suncity Electronic etc. were also present. These people took his money by deceiving him. Later when Amil was asked for the money, he first kept giving evasive answers and then started threatening. He had given some cheques before that, but he could not cash the cheques as there was no money in the banks. Khandafalsa police has now registered a case of fraud and started investigation.
