District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Megha Bhardwaj said that the name checking campaign will be started at all the polling stations in Koderma district on 25 July from 12 noon to 1 pm. She has appealed to every voter of the district to go to the polling station and check the name from the voter list or on the online voter helpline app or on the website of the Chief Electoral Officer to ensure that their name is registered in the voter list of the respective polling station.
The Deputy Commissioner said that if the name has been checked, then they should post this on social media so that other people are also inspired to do so. If their name is not registered in the voter list or there is any other error, then submit an application for name registration and correction etc. The Deputy Commissioner said that on July 25, BLOs will be present at all polling stations with a copy of the draft published voter list and Forms 6, 7 and 8. The Deputy Commissioner said that the second special summary revision of the voter list will be conducted from July 25 to August 20, in which work related to adding and deleting names in the voter list will be done. Along with this, the building of 13 polling stations has been changed.
On this occasion, mainly Deputy Election Officer Prince Godwin Kujur, District Land Acquisition Officer Girija Shankar Mahato and others were present.
