Rishikesh, 24 July (HS). In the installation ceremony of the new team of Rotary Club Rishikesh, in the presence of the chief guest AIIMS Director Prof. Meenu Singh Rotary, District Governor Ravi Prakash administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed President Amit Singhal, Secretary Arun Kukreja and Treasurer Bharat Sharma.
In the program, the chief guest, AIIMS Director Prof. Meenu Singh said that Rotary Club plays a leading role in social service. In the last two-three years, it has been seen that the club provides free transplant calipers to help the disabled. She said that the club organized a camp to encourage voluntary organ donation. In this, many members of the club filled the form for voluntary donation and Rotary Club also plays an important role in blood donation, which is a commendable work.
Rotary District Governor Ravi Prakash said that the aim of Rotary is to serve the poor, which actively participates in all social activities along with environment, education, medicine. This is the reason why Rotary is progressing not only in the country but in the whole world, due to which the number of Rotary members is constantly increasing, due to which the number of members in Rotary today has exceeded crores in the whole world.
