Ranchi, July 24 (HS). Ranchi MP and Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth met Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Virendra Kumar in New Delhi on Wednesday. During this meeting, the Minister of State for Defence congratulated him and expressed gratitude for the work being done for the disabled in Ranchi through the ministry. Seth also handed over a request letter to the Union Minister in this meeting.
He told the Union Minister that maximum number of assistive devices should be distributed among the Divyangjans under ADIP Yojana at every district and block level of Jharkhand including Ranchi so that our Divyangjans can be empowered. The Minister of State for Defence also urged the Union Minister to open de-addiction centres in every assembly constituency of Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency namely Ranchi, Hatia, Kanke, Khijri, Ichagarh and Delhi. He told the Union Minister that Ranchi is becoming a big centre of drug addiction. In such a situation, it is necessary to save our youth. For that, de-addiction centres are very necessary. During the meeting with the Union Minister, he also requested to organize a Divyang Mela in Ranchi. Along with this, opening of new old age homes was also discussed.
