A tragic road accident took place late Monday night in Rohru police station area under Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. Actually, a car fell into a deep ditch late night on Sungri-Samarkot road. In this accident, 2 out of 5 people in the car died on the spot, while 3 people were seriously injured. The injured have been brought to Civil Hospital Rohru for treatment.
According to the information, five youths travelling in an Alto car number HP 54 C 8839 were returning from a wedding ceremony in Bhamanoli village. These five youths had gone to work as waiters in a wedding. The car overturned in a ditch as soon as it crossed the canal at around 2 o'clock on Monday night. In this accident, two youths travelling in the car died on the spot, while three were seriously injured.
The deceased youths have been identified as 25-year-old Lucky Sharma son of Prakash Chand of village Bhojpur in Bilaspur district and 23-year-old Ishant son of Ram Lal of village Navangaon in Arki tehsil of Solan district. The injured youths include 23-year-old Rakesh son of Dharampal of village Miral in Arki tehsil of Solan district, 19-year-old Bharat son of Khemraj and 19-year-old Pankaj of village Gender Basantpur in tehsil Sunni of Shimla district. DSP Rohru Ravinder Negi said that the bodies of the deceased youths have been handed over to their families after post-mortem at Civil Hospital Rohru. The injured are being treated. The police is investigating the cause of the accident.
