Ahmedabad auto driver strike: The rickshaw pullers of Ahmedabad had earlier announced an indefinite strike. But now they have decided to go on a symbolic strike for one day. If their demands are not met even after this symbolic strike, they have indicated to go on an indefinite strike in the coming days.
Even after rickshaw drivers have been continuously applying online for more than a year, no problem has been resolved. Now finally they have got fed up and decided to go on strike.
Ahmedabad Auto Rickshaw Drivers Welfare Association said, 'The government and their related bodies have been given many photographs and videos as proof of illegal plying of two-wheelers with white number plates of all such private operator companies. In this case, the RTO has recovered lakhs of rupees by imposing fines on such illegal vehicles. Their companies have also been given notice. Despite this, a permanent solution is not being found by taking strict action by the system.'
