Kolkata, July 24 (HS). Weather forecast has been issued for the next 24 hours in the metropolitan Kolkata and surrounding areas. From this morning till the next 24 hours, the sky will remain cloudy and light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely. The maximum temperature is expected to be 31.3 degrees Celsius, which is 0.7 degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature may be 27.4 degrees Celsius, which is 0.9 degrees above normal. The humidity level will be maximum 96 percent and minimum 76 percent. During the last 24 hours, 0.1 mm of rain has been recorded, while there has been no rain in Kolkata in the last 24 hours. However, light rain will continue in the entire state including Kolkata this whole week. Along with this, the heat will also remain.
The weather forecast of other districts of Bengal is also similar to Kolkata. Hooghly district is likely to have cloudy weather and light to moderate rain during the next 24 hours, which may lead to a slight drop in temperature. Howrah will remain cloudy and there may be light rain with thunder. The maximum temperature here is likely to be 32 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is 27 degrees Celsius. South and North 24 Parganas are also likely to have cloudy weather and light to moderate rain, which will keep the temperature normal. East Burdwan district will also have cloudy weather and light rain is possible. Similar weather is expected in Howrah. Continuous rain will continue in Alipurdurwar, Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling and Kalimpong of North Bengal.
