Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a scheme in the general budget of 2024-25 which will provide great relief to the common people. It has been said that this will directly benefit one crore families of the country. Under this, every household will get 300 units of electricity directly every month. Actually, Finance Minister Sitharaman has announced the Rooftop Solar Panel Scheme. He said that the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme has been started.

Under this, solar panels can be installed on rooftops. This will benefit one crore families. Under this scheme, they will get 300 units of electricity free of cost. The Finance Minister said that NTPC and BHEL will jointly set up a 100 MW commercial thermal plant. Advanced ultra supercritical technology will be used in this plant.

Along with this, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that Rs 2.66 lakh crore has been allocated for rural development including rural infrastructure.
