Union Budget 2024: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the first budget (Union Budget) of the third term of the Modi government today. This budget focuses on farmers, youth and women. There are 9 priorities of the budget from employment to agriculture. Meanwhile, Nirmala Sitharaman has made a big announcement for the youth during the budget speech. She has given good news to one crore youth.

In Budget 2024, Nirmala Sitharaman said that the youth will be given training in the top companies of the country, for which these youth will be given a monthly allowance of Rs 5000 every month. Under the Pradhan Mantri Internship Yojana, this monthly allowance will be for 12 months and youth can do internship in these companies only for 12 months. However, the top companies of the country will have to train 1 crore youth in the next five years.

The training will be for 12 months

The Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme will be for only 12 months. Under this, the youth will have to bear 10 percent of the expenses of the internship themselves. The government will pay a monthly honorarium of Rs 5000. Any youth can take advantage of this scheme. 1 crore youth of the country will get its benefit.

Announcement was also made regarding tax

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has made a big change in the tax slab under the new tax system. Now 20 percent tax will have to be paid on 15 lakh annual income. However, if it is more than this, then 30 percent tax will be levied. Apart from this, the government has also increased the standard deduction. Now the standard deduction has been increased from 50 thousand annually to 75000 rupees.

What is the announcement for rural areas

Rs 2 lakh crore will be allocated for 5 schemes for employment of youth. There is a provision of Rs 1.52 lakh crore for agriculture in the budget. A loan of up to Rs 10 lakh has been announced for higher education in the country. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, a target has been set to build 3 crore houses in urban and rural India. Rs 2.66 crore has been announced this year for rural development.
