Now you will have to pay 14 years' tax in lump sum for BH number plate, rules have changed – News India Live

BH Number Plate Rules: The burden of tax has increased on those taking Bharat (BH) number for BH Number Tax. The Transport Department will now give BH number (BH Number Registration) after paying tax for 14 years instead of two years.

Vehicles which already have BH number have been ordered to pay tax for 12 years. After the order of the department, the District Transport Office has started the process.

Notice will be sent to vehicle owners

The transport office has started preparations to send notices to 731 vehicle owners who have taken BH numbers to pay the tax. The owners will be given 60 days to pay the tax.

It should be known that to get BH number for vehicles, now 14 years' tax will have to be deposited in lump sum. Earlier it was for two years. There was a provision for renewal of the number after a period of two years. It has been revised to 14 years.

60 days time will be given

Along with this, those vehicle owners who have taken BH number two years ago will also have to pay tax for 12 years. They will be given 60 days for this.

It was told that most of the people who had taken BH number for two years in the past did not get it renewed, due to which the government is incurring loss of revenue.

What is BH series number plate?

BH series number plate is for such people who work in government or reputed private companies. Who are transferred to any part of the country.

Central and state government employees, PSU departments, Defense Department, Personnel Department and private sector companies which have offices in at least four states or union territories. On applying this number, the number plate does not have to be changed in any state.

The rules for BH number plate have been changed. Now, for this number, tax will have to be paid for 14 years. Those who have taken BH series for the first two years will have to pay tax for 12 years within 60 days. Notice will be sent to such vehicle owners. – Kumar Satendra Yadav, DTO
