Budget 2024: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting her seventh Union Budget for the financial year 2024-2025. During this, a big announcement has been made for the employed people. Finance Minister Sitharaman said in her budget speech that the government will give the first month's salary to the people getting employment in the organized sector. Both the employee and the employer will be helped. Apart from this, the government will also contribute to EPFO in the first 4 years of employment. Under this, the government will give assistance of Rs 3000 every month to the employer. Apart from this, the government said on Tuesday that it will launch three schemes related to employment.

Presenting the Union Budget 2024-25 in the Lok Sabha, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the government will incentivise 30 lakh youth entering the job market by contributing one month's PF. She announced that hostels for working women will be set up in the country to promote women's participation in the workforce. The Finance Minister said the government will provide funds to the private sector, sector experts and others to develop climate-friendly seeds.
The existing scheme – MNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee) aims to provide 100 days of employment in a financial year to at least one member of every household.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to create history on Tuesday by presenting the seventh consecutive budget for the financial year 2024-25. In this way, she will break the record of former Prime Minister Morarji Desai. However, the record for presenting the budget the most number of times is still held by Desai. Sitharaman will turn 65 next month. She was made India's first full-time woman finance minister in 2019. This year Prime Minister Narendra Modi formed the government at the Center for the second consecutive time. Since then, Sitharaman has presented six consecutive budgets, including an interim budget in February this year.
