Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the country's budget in the Lok Sabha for the 7th consecutive time. This is the full budget for 2024-25, in which the Finance Minister has presented the blueprint of 'Developed India'. The government has set 9 priorities for the budget, in which farmers, employment and middle class have been kept at the center. For this, the government has also announced many new schemes.
This time in the budget the government announced many schemes for employment and skill development
- Establishment of hostels and creches for working women
- 1 crore farmers will be given assistance for natural farming.
- 10 thousand biofuel centers will be established.
- People support based Kisan Credit Cards will be distributed in 5 states.
- Central breeding centres will be established to increase shrimp production.
- For first time job seekers, the government will DBT one month's salary in 3 installments. Its limit is 15,000.
- The government will provide assistance to EPFO in the first 4 years to promote employment in the manufacturing sector. This will be available to both employees and employers.
- On hiring new employees, the employer will be given a subsidy of Rs 3000 per month for contribution to EPFO for the next 2 years.
- Development of industrial hub at Gaya on Amritsar Kolkata Industrial Corridor.
- The government will speed up work on the Patna-Purnia Expressway, Buxar-Bhagalpur Expressway, roads in Bodh Gaya, Rajgir, Vaishali and Darbhanga and a new bridge over the Ganga at Buxar at a cost of Rs 26,000 crore.
- The government will provide additional assistance of Rs 15,000 crore to Andhra Pradesh.
