Tribute to Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Chandrashekhar Azad on their birth anniversary

PM Modi on Tuesday paid tribute to great freedom fighters Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Chandrashekhar Azad on their birth anniversary. PM Modi posted a post on Twitter in which he said that tribute to Lokmanya Tilak on his birth anniversary. He will always be remembered as a great figure in India's freedom struggle. He was a visionary who worked tirelessly to ignite the spirit of nationalism and also emphasized on education and service.

PM Narendra Modi also shared a video link of his speech at an event held in Pune last year. He was honored with the Lokmanya Tilak National Award at the event. It is worth noting that Bal Gangadhar Tilak was born on 23 July 1856 in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. He is also known as Lokmanya. Tilak is remembered for his invaluable contribution to the Indian freedom struggle. Mahatma Gandhi called him the 'maker of modern India'.

Azad was described as a 'fearless hero'

PM Modi also paid tribute to great freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad in another post. He described Azad as a fearless hero who was committed to India's freedom. PM Modi said that his ideals and thoughts resonate in the hearts of millions of people, especially the youth. Born in 1906 in Bhavra, Madhya Pradesh, Azad ran a revolutionary network and vowed never to be caught by the British.
