Jaipur, 22 July (HS). Shravan has started in Rajasthan amidst the period of humidity and heat. On the first day, Monday afternoon, some areas of Jaipur-Ajmer received heavy rain. Meteorological Center Jaipur has issued an alert of light to moderate rain and sometimes heavy rain in all the districts of the state from Monday to 25 July. Even today, there is a yellow alert for rain in all the districts of Rajasthan. The speed of monsoon has slowed down a bit in the last few days.
The Meteorological Department has said that light to moderate rain may occur in Dausa, Bharatpur, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Churu, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Karauli, Nagaur, Pali, Dholpur, Sawai Madhopur, Barmer, Jalore, Bundi, Baran, Kota, Hanumangarh districts of Rajasthan.
In the last 24 hours, 40 mm of rain fell in Jhinjhinali of Fatehgarh tehsil of Jaisalmer district, 34 mm in Nimbahera of Chittorgarh, 17 mm in Devgarh of Rajsamand, 24 mm in Danta Ramgarh of Sikar, 20 mm in Kotdi of Bhilwara, 21 mm in Sumerpur of Pali. At the same time, there was humidity in the districts of Jaipur, Bharatpur and Bikaner division. According to the Meteorological Department, it rained for about an hour in Ajmer on Monday. During this time, about 43.6 mm of rain was measured. Heavy rain has exposed the drainage system of the Municipal Corporation. Due to rain, the water of the drains has come on the roads near JLN Hospital, due to which people passing by are facing a lot of trouble. It rained heavily for half an hour near the bus stand in Ajmer on Monday afternoon at 1 pm. The sudden rain gave relief to the people from humidity for a while. However, people were suffering from heat and humidity in other parts of the city.
Here, Kota, Jhalawar, Pratapgarh, Dungarpur, Banswara, Sirohi received good rain on Sunday late evening. Heavy rain also occurred at some places here. Due to heavy rain near Jhalawar on the Madhya Pradesh-Rajasthan border, the water level of the seasonal rivers rose. In Jaipur, there was light rain during the day yesterday, after which it remained humid for the whole day. Fagi in Jaipur rural area received 29 mm of rain. Maujmabad near Fagi also received 14 mm of rain. There was a slight drop in the day temperature in Jaipur due to the rain yesterday. The maximum temperature here was recorded at 35.7 degree Celsius. The weather department has predicted heavy rain in rural Jaipur today.
