Jodhpur, July 22 (HS). Railways has increased the sectional speed of trains from 90 to 110 kmph on the newly laid broad gauge double line from Raikabagh to Phulera railway route.
Jodhpur DRM Pankaj Kumar Singh of North Western Railway said that with this, now trains will run at a speed of 110 km per hour on both up and down lines between Jodhpur and Phulera railway stations, which will reduce the operating time of trains and make the journey of passengers easier. He said that trains are already running at a speed of 110 km per hour on the single line between Jodhpur and Phulera and now the speed of mail express trains is being increased to 110 km per hour on the new double line as well. DRM said that earlier the doubling work was already completed till Kuchaman City, on which the train was running at a speed of 110 km per hour on the up line and now after the completion of the work till Phulera, the speed between Kuchaman City and Phulera stations has been increased to 110 km per hour. He said that due to increase in the speed of trains, there will be savings in travel time and passengers will be able to complete their journey in less time.
