Hazaribagh, 22 July (HS). A review meeting of the Mining Task Force was held in the Collectorate Auditorium on Monday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay. In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that the mining department is reviewed every month. Therefore, it is necessary that all officers carry out the work seriously. The mining department is reviewed thoroughly and seriously at the state level. Therefore, ensure effective action on cases of illegal mining, coal and sand lifting with immediate effect.
The Deputy Commissioner directed to strictly monitor the operation of the said vehicles at the zonal and subdivisional level in accordance with the provisions contained under NGT. A total of 9 checkposts are operating in the district so that illegal transportation of sand and coal from any area can be curbed. Therefore, it is necessary that strict monitoring be done at the checkposts. He warned all the concerned officials to stop the illegal transportation of sand and coal in their areas and gave strict instructions to curb it.
The Deputy Commissioner said that action should be taken against those involved in illegal mining. Along with conducting intensive checking campaigns, the concerned departments of police and district administration were directed to take integrated action under the acts of mining, forest, transport, pollution, factory departments. Take action under all relevant sections against vehicles involved in illegal mining, transportation, and mafias. He directed the District Transport Officer to regularly conduct investigation campaigns against illegal transportation and take action as per rules.
The Deputy Commissioner directed strict action against illegal mining in the closed mines of the district. He instructed to follow the NGT guidelines seriously and directed the police officer to regularly inspect his area. He also instructed to take strict and regular action against illegal sand and coal operations.
Sub-divisional officer Shailesh Kumar, district mining officer Ajit Kumar, DTO Baidyanath Kamati, SDPO, DSP and all police officers were present in the meeting.
