Name plate controversy: Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, the Peethadheeshwar of Bageshwar Dham located in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, has asked to put name plates on the shops located in Bageshwar Dham like Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The narrator said that it is necessary to write the name of the owner outside all the shops and hotels in the Dham and this is a good thing. What is the problem in writing our father's name. This work should be appreciated.

Let us tell you that the Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand government have ordered the hotels, restaurants, dhabas, street vendors doing food business on the Kavad Yatra route to put up signboards and write the name, address and mobile number of the owner. In view of this, now there is a demand to make rules under this in Madhya Pradesh as well. However, this rule is also being implemented in Bageshwar Dham. Peethadheeshwar will approve it in the Dham committee meeting.

Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri said in the middle of a statement, we have no problem with Ram, nor with Rahman. We have a problem with calaminemia. Therefore, put a name plate outside your shop, so that the religion and purity of the visiting devotees is not corrupted. He said that our order is that all the shopkeepers of Bageshwar Dham should put up name plates within 10 days, otherwise legal action will be taken by the Dhyan Samiti along with the law.

Muzaffarnagar police of UP had issued an order to write the name of the owners on all the food shops on the Kavad Yatra route. A few days later, the Uttar Pradesh government implemented this controversial order in the entire state. Many opposition leaders objected to this order and called it discriminatory. Congress termed this order as mischief and bias.

Rajya Sabha member Kapil Sibal termed the state government's order to write the names of the owners on all food shops on the Kavad Yatra route in Uttar Pradesh as a divisive agenda. Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has approached the Supreme Court against this order of the Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand governments. Moitra, in her petition, urged to stay the order issued by both the state governments, saying that such an order could increase conflict between communities.

Yoga guru Ramdev on Sunday justified the order to write the name, address and mobile number of the owner outside the hotels, restaurants and dhabas located on the Kavad route and said that there should be no difficulty in identifying oneself. In Haridwar, Ramdev said that everyone is proud of their name and there is no need to hide it. He questioned that when Ramdev has no problem in showing his identity, then why should Rahman have a problem.
