OBC Jan Akrosh Yatra is starting from 22 July in Maharashtra. OBC Jan Akrosh Yatra is starting in Maharashtra after Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil started an indefinite hunger strike from 20 July. There is already a lot of tension between Marathas and OBCs in Marathwada of Maharashtra. OBC agitators Laxman Hake and Navnath Waghmare along with other OBC leaders will also participate in the Yatra.
The yatra will be started on 22nd July by paying obeisance to the Mandal pillar in Dodagaon, Jalna. Navnath Waghmare said that the OBC community of the state is angry, we have to convey this anger of the OBC community to the government, for this we are taking out this Aakrosh Yatra. Navnath Waghmare of OBC movement called upon a large number of people of the community to participate in the OBC Aarakshan Bachao Jan Aakrosh Yatra.
The Aakrosh Yatra will begin on July 22 and pass through Ramgavan, Wadigodri, Beed, Ahmednagar, Parbhani, Hingoli, Washim, Buldhana districts of Jalna, and end at Paithan taluka of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district.
Manoj Jarange will start hunger strike
On the other hand, Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil is once again starting an indefinite hunger strike from July 20 at Antarwali Sarti in Jalna. Manoj Jarange Patil said that the government did not accept his demands and the deadline of July 13 has passed. Therefore, from July 20, he is once again starting an indefinite strike for Maratha reservation. Many people are saying that Jarange Patil should not sit on a hunger strike, but he is adamant on his insistence and will sit on a hunger strike from Saturday.
There is already a lot of tension between Marathas and OBCs in Marathwada, Maharashtra regarding reservation. The OBC community and leaders like Chhagan Bhujbal have already staged several protests against giving reservation to Marathas from OBCs. Many incidents of Maratha vs OBC have been seen in Marathwada, Maharashtra.
Speaking to the media, Jarange Patil said the state government has failed to issue a notification for reservation in OBC quota to 'sadhu sants' (relatives by birth or marriage) of the Kunbis.
