Naidu said in a statement posted on 'X' post that airline systems have started working normally at the affected airports on Friday due to the worldwide IT technology Microsoft server crash. The Civil Aviation Ministry is constantly monitoring the operations of airports and airlines, so that travel adjustments and refunds can be taken care of. Naidu said in a statement that airline systems at airports have started working normally since 3 am. We hope that all issues will be resolved soon.
According to official sources, the reservation and check-in system of most airlines including IndiGo, SpiceJet, Akasa and Air India Express is now operational. At the same time, Air India said in a statement that it did not cancel a single flight despite so many problems yesterday. IndiGo said that operational difficulties had arisen due to global disruption, which have almost been resolved.
It is worth mentioning that on Friday, technology related disruptions were faced across the world including India due to the Windows-powered devices getting affected due to the update of a third party software platform related to Microsoft. Due to this, aviation, media and financial services were affected, while the functioning of many other companies was also affected. However, the stock market and banking sector in India remained unaffected by this.
