HDFC Bank's profit rose 33 percent to Rs 16,474 crore

Mumbai/New Delhi, 20 July (HS). The largest private sector HDFC Bank has announced the results of the first quarter (April-June) of the financial year 2020-25. In the April-June quarter, the bank's consolidated net profit has increased by 33.17 percent to Rs 16,474.85 crore. In the same quarter of the previous financial year, the bank had a net profit of Rs 12,370 crore.

HDFC Bank informed the stock market on Saturday that its net profit on a standalone basis grew 33.17 per cent to Rs 16,174 crore in the April-June quarter of the current financial year 2024-25. However, this profit is less than Rs 16,511 crore in the January-March quarter of the previous financial year 2023-24.

The bank said that its total income in the April-June quarter has increased to Rs 83,701 crore, which was Rs 57,816 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year 202324. Along with this, the gross non-performing asset (NPA) ratio of the bank has increased from 1.24 percent to 1.33 percent in March. At the end of the June quarter, HDFC Bank's total capital adequacy was 19.33 percent.
