Jind, July 20 (HS). Dalit community is playing the role of change in Haryana politics. In the upcoming assembly elections, Dalit community will not only prove to be the biggest factor in BJP scoring a hat-trick but will also give a reply to the opposition for insulting the Constitution. Haryana Chief Minister's Chief Media Coordinator Sudesh Kataria is responsible for awakening the Dalits.
In the Dalit conference organized at Ambedkar Bhawan in Narwana of Jind district, Sudesh Kataria informed about the Dalit-friendly decisions of former Chief Minister and Union Minister Manohar Lal along with the respect given to Dalit great men. Dalit society praised the decisions taken by former Chief Minister Manohar Lal for the welfare of Dalits and to give them a new identity. Giving the title of political saint to Manohar Lal, Sudesh Kataria said that he not only changed the tradition of politics but also worked to get justice to Dalits. After the formation of Haryana in 1966, many Chief Ministers came and went, but no one took care of Dalits, they were only used as vote bank.
He clarified that whichever Chief Minister came, he followed the old pattern. Along with giving jobs to favourites, the principles of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar were completely ignored. But when Manohar Lal took charge of Haryana as Chief Minister nine and a half years ago, he came in the role of a saint for the Dalits, who, after Baba Saheb, the protector of Dalit interests, took care of the interests of Dalits and worked to get them justice.
