Chandigarh, July 19 (HS). Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday evening and gave him a report on the preparations for the state assembly elections. Naib Saini informed the Prime Minister about some important decisions to be taken by the government before the elections.
This meeting of the Chief Minister is being considered very important in view of the state assembly elections. The Chief Minister informed the Prime Minister about the decision of giving 10 percent horizontal reservation to Agniveers in Haryana government jobs under the Agneepath scheme, which he appreciated. Saini said that the Haryana government will work in a better way in the interest of Agniveers.
The Chief Minister also discussed the political issues of the state and alliance with the Prime Minister. The Chief Minister has requested the Prime Minister to visit Haryana, on which he has asked the BJP organization to prepare Lok Sabha constituency level, district level and assembly level programs. Nayab Saini has also apprised the Prime Minister about the schemes being run for Sikhs, OBCs, farmers and backward classes.
Talking to journalists after meeting the Prime Minister, Chief Minister Naib Saini said that the talks were very good and the Prime Minister's guidance was received on every subject. He said that the main topic was related to the preparations for the assembly elections. The Prime Minister was informed about the development work going on in the state and his guidance was received about the future. The Prime Minister discussed the political environment and scenario of the state district and assembly seat wise. He said that under the leadership of Modi, the BJP is going to form the government for the third time with an absolute majority in Haryana.
On the question related to ED's action against Bhupendra Hooda, Naib Saini said that ED is an independent agency, they take action wherever they deem fit. On Aam Aadmi Party contesting the elections alone, Naib Saini said that Congress and AAP came together by resorting to lies. They have different agendas.
It is noteworthy that BJP is finalizing its preparations and strategy for the assembly elections. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has visited Haryana twice in a span of 18 days. The entire team, from BJP in-charge to election co-in-charge, is busy preparing for the elections. BJP has also got a new state president in the form of Mohan Badauli. In such a situation, Nayab Saini's meeting with Prime Minister Modi is important from the point of view of elections.
