Microsoft Global Outage: Due to the shutdown of Microsoft servers, all IT systems, computers and laptops suddenly shut down. Apart from this, flights were stopped at many airports around the world. A major flaw in the cloud services of Microsoft Corporation also caused problems in India. Regarding this, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav posted on 'X' and wrote, 'The IT Ministry is in touch with Microsoft and its partners in this matter. The cause of this error has been determined and updates have been released to resolve the problem.'

More than 200 flights were cancelled in the US

America has been the most affected by Microsoft's server down, where more than 200 flights have been cancelled so far. Apart from this, the check-in process is being started manually at Singapore's Changi Airport, one of the world's busiest airports. Currently, 74 percent of users are facing problems logging in to the Microsoft Store. While 26 percent of users are facing problems with Microsoft apps.

Why worry?

According to Microsoft's service health status update, the issue was caused by a change in the configuration of Azure backend workloads. This caused a problem between storage and compute resources and led to connectivity failures.

Microsoft 365 services are affected. The bug was identified by CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity company working with Microsoft. They said the cause of the problem has been identified and is being worked on.
