Weather Update: There was no rain in Punjab even after a yellow alert was issued. Along with this, the monsoon could not become active in Punjab. Yesterday there was an increase in humidity and heat, after which the maximum temperature was recorded 1.5 degrees higher. No rain warning has been issued today. Due to which there will be a slight increase in temperature. But the monsoon is likely to become active again from July 21.
According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, the monsoon in Punjab has been affected due to the pressure in the Bay of Bengal and the slowdown in the western disturbance on the other hand. The monsoon was expected to be active on Wednesday and Thursday but it did not happen. Light rain also occurred in some areas. After which an increase in humidity and temperature has been recorded in the state. The highest temperature in Punjab was recorded in Bathinda at 38.3 degrees. The average temperature of Punjab has been found to be 2.7 degrees above normal.
No alert has been issued in Punjab for two days
No alert of any kind has been issued in Punjab for the next two days. But there is a possibility of rain in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Nawanshahr, Barnala, Mansa, Sangrur, Patiala, Rupnagar, Fatehgarh Sahib and SAS Nagar. Due to which the humidity will increase. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has once again issued a yellow alert regarding rain in all these districts from July 21.
