Delhi excise scam: BRS leader K. Kavitha's judicial custody extended till July 22

Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has extended the judicial custody of BRS leader K. Kavitha in the CBI case related to the Delhi liquor scam till July 22. Special Judge Kaveri Baveja has referred K. Kavitha to AIIMS hospital to check her health.

The court has summoned Kavitha's medical report from AIIMS hospital. K. Kavitha's health deteriorated in Tihar Jail on July 16, after which she was admitted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in Delhi. After treatment, she was sent back to jail.

Today, K. Kavitha's judicial custody in the CBI case was ending. Kavitha was arrested by the CBI in this case on 11 April. The CBI filed a chargesheet against K. Kavitha on 7 June. The court took cognizance of the chargesheet filed by the ED against K. Kavitha on 29 May.

So far 18 people have been arrested in this case, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh, BRS leader K. Kavitha. Sanjay Singh has been granted regular bail by the Supreme Court.
