In Madhya Pradesh, the railways ran a train with special coaches to rescue two tiger cubs, which is being praised. People on social media are praising this move of the Indian Railways.
On the night of 14-15 July, both the cubs were injured after being hit by a train in the forest area near Budhni. Both were brought to Bhopal by the same train, where they were treated. According to officials, one cub died and two were injured after being hit by a train on Sunday night. Both were stuck in a drain near the railway track.
The incident site was between two tunnels. Therefore, it was not possible to take any vehicle there. In the afternoon, a special train was sent from Bhopal to the incident site. When the rescue team reached the spot after covering a distance of 132 km by train, the cub's mother was present there. Meanwhile, the rescue operation had to be stopped. The operation was resumed on Tuesday morning and the injured cubs were put on the train. From there, they were brought to Bhopal. The operation lasted for 3.20 hours. Both the cubs are fine now.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed happiness on this matter and said, it is commendable that due to the promptness and sensitivity of the Madhya Pradesh government, the timely treatment of two tiger cubs injured on the railway track was done. In the accident that took place on the Midghat railway track in Budhni, Sehore, in coordination with the Madhya Pradesh government and the Railway Ministry, special trains were arranged in a very short time and both the cubs were taken to Bhopal for treatment and admitted to the hospital. I pray to God for the speedy recovery of both the puppies.
