This time BJP's performance in the Lok Sabha elections has been disappointing for the party. There is a lot of commotion in UP BJP due to the party's poor performance. Due to this, UP BJP President Bhupendra Chaudhary has been meeting PM Modi, Amit Shah and JP Nadda for the last 2 days. According to sources, UP BJP President Bhupendra Chaudhary repeated the same things in his meeting with PM Modi, Amit Shah and JP Nadda that he had said in the report prepared on BJP's poor performance.
A report has been prepared on the poor results in the Lok Sabha elections. This 15-page report has been prepared on the basis of conversations and feedback with about forty thousand BJP workers in 80 seats of UP. Bhupendra Chaudhary gave this feedback report and also discussed it in the meeting held with PM Modi, Amit Shah and JP Nadda in Delhi in the last two days.
How many seats decreased in which state
According to the report, the party's vote share has declined by at least 8 per cent in all the six regions of the state – Western UP, Braj, Kanpur-Bundelkhand, Awadh, Gorakhpur and Kashi region. In the recently held Lok Sabha elections, the SP won 37 out of 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh, while it had won five seats in 2019. The BJP could only manage 33 seats, down from 62. According to the party's own data, the party's performance was the worst in the West and Kashi region, where it got just eight out of 28 seats. In Braj, it got 8 out of 13 seats. In Gorakhpur region, the party got just six out of 13 seats, while in Awadh it got just 7 out of 16 seats. In Kanpur-Bundelkhand, the BJP failed to regain its existing seats, getting just 4 out of 10 seats.
These are the reasons given in the report for the party's poor performance…
- Arbitrariness of officials and administration in the state
- Dissatisfaction of party workers towards the government
- Paper leaks in government jobs continuously in last 6 years
- The opposition's issue of ending reservation is gaining momentum due to the state government giving priority to people of the general category in the recruitment of contract workers in government jobs.
- Rajput community's dissatisfaction with the party
- Statements by party leaders on changing the constitution
- Giving tickets early has also emerged as a reason for the workers' enthusiasm waning by the time of the sixth and seventh phase of polling.
- The issue of old pension prevailed among the government officers
- Agniveer also became an issue
- The party believes that the election officials at the lower level have removed the names of BJP's core voters from the voter list. The party's report says that in almost all the seats, the names of 30 thousand to 40 thousand core voters of the party have been removed from the voter list.
Decrease in vote share
The party's report also said that in this election, the percentage of votes received by BJP from non-Yadav OBCs i.e. Kurmi, Koiri, Maurya, Shakya and Lodh castes has decreased. The report also said that BSP's core vote share has decreased by 10 percent and BJP has got only one-third of the Dalit votes as compared to 2019. The vote share of BSP's core voters Jatav and Khatik and Pasi community, which BJP had been getting since 2014, has decreased significantly, which benefited Samajwadi Party and Congress.
The report says that if the party corrects all the above reasons in time, then things can again turn in the party's favour. Also, the report says that government officials and administration should treat party workers with respect.
