Himachal Pradesh Politics News: After the results of Rajya Sabha elections in Himachal Pradesh, a series of political turmoil has started. Amidst all this, Virbhadra Singh's son Vikramaditya Singh has resigned from the Congress government led by CM Sukhu. He said that I have given information about this matter to Priyanka Gandhi and Kharge. Sometimes tough decisions have to be taken and considering the current situation, I cannot remain in this government.
Complaints of MLAs not resolved
Vikramaditya said that we have always respected the top leadership and also the Chief Minister but the complaints of the MLAs were never redressed. It was because of the negligence of the MLAs that we lost the Rajya Sabha elections. He said that I am speaking freely because my loyalty is with the party. Vikramaditya was a cabinet minister in the Sukhu government.
He became emotional remembering his father
During the press conference, Vikramaditya Singh became emotional remembering his father. He compared his father to the last Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar. He said that the entire election was fought in the name of Virbhadra Singh. I have to say with a heavy heart that not even 2 yards of land was given on Mall Road in Shimla to install the statue of the person due to whom Congress government was formed in Himachal. This is very unfortunate. He said that under the circumstances in which the 2022 elections were held, Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri and Pratibha Singh made joint efforts. Then Virbhadra Singh's name was used in the elections. Congress party sought votes from the public through advertisements using Virbhadra's photo. I never wanted any position.
15 BJP MLAs suspended
After the uproar in Himachal Pradesh Assembly, the Speaker has suspended 15 BJP MLAs including Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur. Along with this, the proceedings of the assembly were also adjourned till 12 noon.
