Jammu, July 17 (HS). In a dedicated effort to guide and motivate the youth to pursue a career in the armed forces, the Indian Army organized an interactive session at the Government School, DKG. The event saw enthusiastic participation of students, local leaders and community members.
Addressing the gathering, an Army officer highlighted the tremendous potential of the region given the abundance of talented and academically bright students. However, he pointed out that many students fail to utilise their full potential due to lack of proper guidance. The session aimed to bridge this gap by providing detailed information on various entry schemes available for joining the Indian Armed Forces.
The officer emphasised the importance of academic performance, personality development, communication skills, co-curricular activities and sports as essential components of life in the armed forces. He encouraged the students to focus on these areas to enhance their chances of a successful career in the Army.
The session also included an interactive section where aspirants could ask questions and clear doubts. The event helped dispel myths and provided clear and practical guidance on the paths to joining the armed forces. The audience, including Sarpanchs and Panchs, showed great enthusiasm and support for the initiative.
