The Haryana government has announced 5 percent reservation for firemen in recruitment to Group C posts. At the same time, if Agniveer wants to start his own business after four years, the government will give him an interest-free loan of up to Rs 5 lakh to start his own business.
The issue was raised in Parliament on the Agneepath scheme
This announcement from the Haryana government has come at a time when the Agneepath scheme was recently raised in Parliament. In the Lok Sabha, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, referring to the central government's Agniveer scheme, said, “I have met the family of Agniveer.” The central government does not give martyr status to Agniveer. Agniveer is a use and throw laborer. There is fear in the minds of the soldiers about this scheme. Modi ji does not consider these soldiers as martyrs. On this, Rajnath Singh rejected Rahul's claim of Agneepath Army Recruitment Scheme and said that this scheme was started after taking suggestions from 158 organizations.
Reservation announced in CISF, BSF, CRPF too
Let us tell you that so far the heads of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) have announced reservation for former firemen. Former firemen will be given 10 percent reservation in paramilitary forces. Along with this, they will also get relaxation in age limit and physical test. CISF DG Neena Singh said that former firemen will be given 5 years relaxation in age limit in the first batch and 3 years relaxation in the second batch.
What is Agnipath Scheme?
The government came up with the Agneepath scheme in June 2022. This is a short-term plan to connect the youth with conservation. The soldiers recruited under the Army, Air Force and Navy scheme were named – Agniveer. Soldiers are recruited for four years and it can be extended for the next four years. After completion of service, 25 percent of the firemen will be included in the regular army, while the remaining 75 percent will be given a skill certificate along with a hefty amount so that they can find a new job according to their abilities.
