New Delhi: At present the Central Board of Secondary Education is conducting the examinations for class 10th and 12th. Recently a big update has come out in this regard that CBSE Board is preparing to implement open book examination system. Different information about this is also coming out in different media reports. It was also being said that at present the Board has sent a proposal to some schools to conduct OBE examination on test basis for classes 9th to 12th.
However, now a fresh update has come in this regard, in which according to media reports the CBSE Board has said that currently CBSE is planning to launch a study to check the feasibility of this system.
In this regard, CBSE Academic Director Joseph Emmanuel while talking to a media organization said that open book examination is mostly adopted in higher education. Furthermore, many educationally advanced countries have also introduced OBE assessment. However, in a large country like India with diverse backgrounds, a lot of preparation and guidance will be required before starting the OBE assessment. CBSE needs to find out whether adopting OBE assessment will benefit students or not.

Under the open book examination system, students are allowed to use books or notes during the examination. Students can take their help to solve the questions asked in the examination.
