Kedarnath Dham: Jyotirmath's Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda had recently claimed that 228 kg of weight has disappeared from Kedarnath Dham. There was a lot of discussion about this claim, but now the Kedarnath Dham Committee has asked him to challenge this matter in the Supreme Court.

Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee chairman Ajayendra Ajay accused the Shankaracharya of spreading sensationalism and said that 'Swami Avimukteshwarananda has a habit of holding press conferences every day and making allegations. He is used to being in the news.'

There is no permission to tarnish the name of Kedarnath Dham in the absence of facts

Ajayendra further said, 'I respect Swami Avimukteshwaranandji as a saint. But he holds press conferences from morning to evening. Even a leader does not do this much. It is his habit to stay in the news and make media headlines. I would like to request Swami Avimukteshwaranandji to bring out the facts on the allegations made regarding Kedarnath. After this, he should go to the authorities and demand an investigation. If he does not trust any authority then you should go to the High Court or Supreme Court. If he does not have any facts then he is not allowed to spoil the name of Kedarnath Dham.'

On the allegations of gold in the temple, the temple committee said that we have nothing to do with the sanctum sanctorum of Kedarnath Dham from where the gold has been returned. This work has been done by a donor from Mumbai. It has nothing to do with the temple committee and the government. They have done such work in many temples including Siddhivinayak, Kashi Vishwanath temple of Mumbai. Such allegations also hurt the faith of those food providers of the country.

Clarification on the rumor of missing gold

Ajayendra also gave a detailed response to the rumor of missing gold and said, I will clarify that the gold in Kedarnath Dham is 23 kg. Earlier there were 230 kg silver plates in the temple. So after this some people speculated that the same amount of gold must have been used in place of 230 kg silver and less amount of gold must have been used in the temple. This created confusion. The gold has been returned. Therefore, a tent of 1000 kg has been erected and 23 kg gold has been loaded on it. This technique is used in many places including the Golden Temple. Such statements have been coming from him. He should avoid running the agenda of Congress.
