Almora, July 16 (HS). Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the month-long Shravani fair at Jageshwar Dham on Tuesday by offering prayers. During this, he also planted a padam plant at the Bhandara site of Jageshwar and gave the message of environmental protection to the general public along with the wishes of Harela. The Chief Minister prayed in the temple and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state. The Chief Minister also performed Rudrabhishek of Lord Shri Jageshwar Mahadev with Panchamrit.
Chief Minister Dhami said that the double engine government is a government dedicated to the development of Uttarakhand. As a result of this, Uttarakhand has come first in the Sustainable Development Report of NITI Aayog. This is a positive step towards making our Uttarakhand the best state of the country. He said that his government is a government dedicated to the development of the state. Work is being done on the construction of a cycle track from Kosi to Kausani in Almora, which will give impetus to tourism in Almora district. He said that there is also a plan to expand the city of Almora.
During this, the Chief Minister said that Jageshwar Dham is an unparalleled symbol of mythological culture. Coming here gives a different feeling of peace. Lord Jageshwar showers his blessings on all the devotees. He said that he is feeling very overwhelmed after coming to Jageshwar. He said that no one comes here on his own will but only on the call of Baba. He came here when he got the call of Baba.
The Chief Minister said that Shravani Mela is a living example of mythological culture. Shravani Mela has been a center of attraction for devotees for centuries. He said that ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered prayers at Jageshwar Dham, there has been a qualitative increase in the number of devotees here. He said that the number of devotees is increasing continuously since the Prime Minister's visit here. He said that the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre is constantly setting new records of development in the country and the state. He said that his government is also constantly making efforts to increase pilgrimage in the state. He said that just as the number of devotees in Kedarnath and Badrinath has increased due to work on the master plan, similarly the doors of livelihood for the people here will open through the master plan of Jageshwar Dham. He said that after the completion of the work of the master plan of Jageshwar Dham, 10 lakh devotees are expected to come here every year. He said that through this, the economy of the people here and the district will also increase and life will be prosperous.
On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta also wished the people of the district and the state on Harela festival and Shravani fair. He said that his government is making efforts for the development of the state. Many works are being done in this direction under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. He said that under his leadership, International Yoga Day has been organized in remote Adi Kailash and Yoga Day has been given international respect. He said that in the coming days, the roads of Uttarakhand will be rejuvenated and the state will rapidly move towards a strong economy.
MLA Jageshwar Mohan Singh Mehra thanked the Chief Minister for coming to Jageshwar Dham. He said that important decisions are being taken for the development of the state and the district. These decisions are proving to be a milestone in the direction of development.

The Chief Minister made several announcements for the development of Almora district
On this occasion, Chief Minister Dhami made announcements for the development of the district. These announcements include construction of drinking water pumping scheme for Jageshwar area including Vriddha Jageshwar from Saryu (Seraghat), asphalting of Bhagattola-Kapkot motor road, connecting Vriddha Jageshwar with religious tourism under Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission, Dam will be constructed in Bhikiyasain, establishment of bank in Chamadkhan, renovation of ancient Devyal temple of Bharatoli, renovation and beautification of Dipteshwar Mahadev and Koteshwar Mahadev, construction of Radas Namak motor bridge on Ramganga river on Marchula Bhikiyasain motor road, construction of incomplete building of Mahatma Gandhi Inter College Chanoda Someshwar, construction of link road from Chaykhan – Thuvasimal to Dhyuli – Dhoni (Adoli Simoli) and Dhyuli Rautela Chauna Band.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister has ordered to build a mini stadium at Dhuni-Gair Namak place in Gram Sabha Rahat of Someshwar, construction of a mini stadium near Shahar Phatak Nangdhuni temple, construction of freedom fighter memorial and motor road from Suniyakot-Matila motor road of Kandar-Khowa, construction of mini barrage at Nankosi of Devadghat located in Govindpur of development block Hawalbag,
